Hello first sorry for my Nickname, I tried to create one with Letters, numbers, dash, underscore but after 10 attempts it would not work.. then I randomly typed "fesefsdfsdfsd" on the keyboard and it worked... I'll try to change it later.

I have this problem, we use a Designjet T2520 to print signs usually 24x36 or 36x40 that we usually install inside click frames with a clear plastic in front of the sheet. The latest ones were installed on the wall directly because we don't have the frames yet and I noticed that these sheets, even unexposed to the sun, the color will faded noticablely after only 1 month. The gray will turn yellow, the blue will rapidly fade out also. he pages exposed to the sun it's even faster.

The paper we use is unknown, it was an expensive 36" roll but no name I don't know if it's called poster or photo but I asked for poster. it's thick enough, but it's not HP paper. The ink is the original HP ink for the 6 300ml cartridges, the print quality is pretty good, the plotter is also new.

I am thinking about replacing the paper for a HP original paper that will perhaps "protect" the ink? What should I do?

Can we buy special ink that will last much longer? Better paper?

Please tell me which paper to buy and which ink if it's the case.

Would it help to find a clear plastic that will block UV? Not sure that is possible but I'll ask.

The paper we currently have is

505407
8ML STN WR PHOTO 36x100

The thickness is good with that specific paper, apparently it's photo paper even if i asked for poster.. I don't even know the difference frankly. Our paper needs to be Satin, it would be great to continue with something as thick as the current one or even thicker if the machine can take it.

Even interior lights can produce UV. Some UV filtering will definitely help. I don't think that HP makes different ink formulations for this series.
