The auto cutter no longer works on this plotter (2 mos out of warranty).  It prints fine, but doesn't cut.  Form Feed & Cut, doesn't cut.  I can manually drag the blade across, but it is a pain.  Service tech couldn't figure out what is wrong.

There is no sound after it finishes printing as if it were trying to cut (or if the carriage were trying to move to pick up the cutter).  It just prints and stops.

Auto cut is turned on in the settings.  Anybody else have a similar issue?

This has just happened to my plotter. Did you get your problem resolved?

how do you drag the blade across to cut.

this may be my only option until i can get it repaired.

Lift up the front panel, grab the blade (to the left) and drag it across and back.  It is in a track and is usually pulled across by the ink carriage.

As far as fixing goes...nobody will be able to fix this issue (if it is the same);)

Shut it down for a few days (unplug and take offline), delete the driver from all associated computers.  After a few days, plug it back in, but do not connect to the network.  Try to do a form feed and cut.  If it works, great! reinstall all drivers and put it back online.  If not, shut it down longer, maybe try a system reset.

It seemed to be a driver error on one of our 12 pc's that caused the issue.  Nothing else worked prior to this.  New main board, new cutter, etc.
