If you are seeing this error on startup on a blue screen then the most common point of failure is the usb stick on the formatter that stores the firmware or the formatter itself. You can order the firmware stick from the HP Parts Store. If you go to HP partsurfer and enter your serial number it should provide a list of parts including the current replacement USB stick.
