Our office has a DesignJet 800 (42") that was down, wouldn't turn on. We have replaced the power supply and formatting card and now it will turn on and tell us it is "Ready". When we send the print job to the printer it then displays the message "Printer Is In Error State". My boss want to try replacing the Electronics Module, but I thought I'd check in here and see if anyone had any other advice or ideas about what could be causing this problem? Thanks so much!

Hi...
it can be a lot of things. In order to correctly diagnose.. please report the error code that becomes logged on the printer.
Don't start replacing random parts as that may become an expensive russian roulette.. 🙂
By the way... how did the printer burned the Power Supply Unit?
Kind regards,
Cesar
