Hoping someone can help me to see if it is worth trying to fix this printer prior to skipping it.. When we turn it on, we immediately get a Blue screen with code: B87D2236?

Likely a failed usb firmware stick in the printer. It might be the main board itself but the firmware stick is relatively inexpensive compared to replacing the system board.

 

CQ890-67105 is the part number.
