HP Designjet 800ps Plotter, error 01.10

HP Recommended
HP Designjet 800ps Plotter
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi everyone, looking for some help on a 01:10 error at startup on my HP Designjet 800ps Plotter.

I originally had th 05:10. Being a dumb$$, i followed a misguided suggestion, which let me to accidentally changed the serial number. Kicker is  I forgot to write down the original serial number. I tried the serial number listed on the back of the unit,  but still doesn’t work.  At this point I’m at a lost!

The 01.10 was not caused by 05.10  which                     05.10 was the hd formartter bad ccaused.

did someone opened the left cover & touched any cable ?

    if no.... good..

unplug the power cable   &  remove the formater board on the left back....

plug back power cable & see    if 01.10 error gone ...   if error not appear.....  you will see  05.10 error, no problem,

press enter & printer will be in     ready mode.

if all ok..... download the DJ500/800 PCL driver & update the printer driver....

problem solved.    good luck.

HI Jason,

Yes, I realize that wasnt the cause afterward.  I caused the 01:10 by trying to fix 05:10 😞

No one opened the left cover, the error popped up since I changed the serial number and I stupid enough to not write down the orginal serial number on it! I tried inputing the serial number on the plotter, but that didnt fix the error.

Multiple attempts to restart but the 01:10 error is still showing up.

Myself deal with DJ500 DJ800 for over 18 years & never know how to change serial #.

You can try to go to the setup mode by    press  down & hold                     up arrow      enter      then power on    .  reset the parameters & error msgs.  otherwise you have to open the left cover & check all cables..

I had repaired over 12 DJ500 DJ800  in the past & never replace a main PCA board....

but I replaced a PCA board 2 months back , because

a friend paid $100 bought a strip down DJ500  42" without it. So I bought an used one for $48 on Ebay.  I repaired it completely in perfect working condition.

Dear ,

Try to reconnect all the cables once again and should be check closely any damage on the cables conneting portions. Try to restart and check, if its is not coming ready because of the Elcetronic module not working.

I am faced this issue 2 years back, that time i remeber i replace the Electronic Module and solve the issue.

Best of Luck.

remove power cord completely. dj500/800 service manual & see how to remove left cover.....  should be simple.

one to the lower right side.... one at the front....     one at the right back & lower  ..

Prior purchase other pca mainboard, open the left cover... check 2 trailing cables. do not unplug them   , too hard & fragile. just check the tiny clips , make all down   . unplug & plug all cables back  carefully...

keep fingers crossed .

Worse come to worse, I checked on Ebay & there is one with power supply for $85..

Good luck & hope you have good news reply.... hehe
