HP Designjet Z2100 error

Our HP Z2100 has stopped working & displays the following:

I have tried turning off the printer on the front panel and rear power switch, and restarting.

Make sure that it's not a print job causing the error by disconnecting the printer from the network and power cycling it.

Hi Unco_EAS44, 


That is a firmware error. Follow the steps below.


System Error: 79:YZ
Problem Description: Generic Firmware error.
Corrective Action: Try the following:
1. Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power On the Printer.
2. Check that the Printer has the latest Firmware version. If not, update the Firmware to the latest version.

This is a firmware error, update the firmware to the latest version. Resend the job. If it still does not work copy the file onto a thumb drive and connect your laptop to the machine and try to print it from there. Make sure you have the correct driver for that machine on your laptop.
