I have a HP Deskjet 1055, a part that looks like a bar came out, it is approx. 9 inches long and has a tab on each end and two tabs to one of the longer sides. I have looked for diagrams and cannot figure out where it came from. Part numbers on the back read 304500294 and >ABS< 1-2/2. A graphic of what looks like a clock has an arrow pointing at 2. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Is this bar flexible? Might be the encoder strip for the carriage.
