DesignJet 26500

We have a crashed-out DesignJet 26500 -- when it powers up, the HP logo countdown timer gets to "4" and hangs.

After reading, I figured a little fsck on the hard disk (or at least an inspection of the hard drive) was a step I could take.

Bad blocks all over the front of the disk, unreadable superblocks and no partition table -- figured it's hosed.

If I wanted to make a new one, what would I need to do?

You need to purchase the original HDD for the exact printer model.

The firmware is on the HDD and additional encrypted data, there is nothing you can do.
