You need to provide some details:
Model of printer
Any recent changes such as a replacement cartridge?
A single color defect in one of the cartridge colors usually indicates a bad cartridge, or possibly a corrupted file. Printing the supplies status page from the control panel will show if the error happens on all prints or not.
