Help printing to Designjet500

HP Recommended
DesignJet 500
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a customer that has a Designjet 500 plus 42 inch roller, and we can't seem to print to it. When I install the drivers, I can print a test page to it, but nothing else will print. If I try to print from say Notepad, I get errors saying invalid handle. Nothing will print except the test page. Why is this happening??

Myself do not like Windows 8 & above. I checked the HP website & Windows 10 driver is available.

Download it, according to your Windows version 32 or 64 bit.  then unzip & save to a directory where you

can remember easily.

Then go to your printer property... right click that printer ( dj500)  >> printer property  >>  advance >>

have driver >>>  click to the directory where your driver located.... pick model... size....  apply.

Steps might different, because I do not use windows 10....

Aslo remove other same model printer if there were multiple... make sure it is    online....

These are the most basic basics & can apply to other model printers...

Thanks for the reply Jason. I've tried that, even tried to use the different drivers for the different versions of the Designjet 500 in desperation. I can print a test page from certain ones (it doesn't have the HP-GL/2 card so those don't work), but any other application will not print. I've installed many printers in my time and haven't run into this issue before. Colleagues think it is a driver issue, but I've downloaded the driver straight from the HP website and tried all the options available in it. I have no idea what is causing this and there apparently isn't HP support is frustratingly unavailable, which I find odd.

For reference I am using Win 10 64 bit, and the Designjet 500 has a 42 inch roller on it.
