HP Recommended
FB500

I am trying to print thick(or raised) lines on a plastic film, with HP FB500 printer.

The line's thickness should be about 100um( or 4 mil).

(Its width would be about twice of the height.)

I know this can be done by printing the same line on a same spot 5~8 times, but it is important for the print head to shoot the ink at the exactly same spot.

Is there any way that I can force the print head to print several times on the same spot(moving back & forth only laterally ), and then the film to move forward?

(Currently, the print head prints while moving back & forth one time, and the film move forward.)

Does FB500 support such functions? or is this dependent on the RIP software?

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

(PS I don't have a FB500. I am working with a local print shop, that has FB500).
