I've tried several times to turn off the printer, unplug the printer from the wall and waited 60 seconds but it never corrected the problem.  I've tried to look up for a service center near me in the united states, apparently, Hawaii is not being recognzied.  I just need someone to direct me to who/where I can go for assistance on my "missing or failed printhead" error.  Someone please help!!!

Welcome to HP Forums.

 

Reset the printer.

Resetting the printer can reset the connection with the printhead and clear any error messages.

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

    NOTE: 

    HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Update the printer firmware

I've tried (again) your recommendation but still haven't fixed the problem.  My printer just made 3 years.  I only use it to print color monthly calender, monthly signs but that's it.

This seems to be a hardware issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on "Continue as guest".

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
