Ink levels, Latex 315 ink levels

Hi All,

I'm new to my HP Latex 315. I'm just coming up to the first time my ink is running low, and would like to know how far can I squeeze one of these cartridges? At the moment, I'm low on LightMagenta(101ml left), LightCyan(92ml left), Yellow(72ml left). I know I can replace the cartridges now, but of course would love to run the cartridges down as far as I can to save money, within the limit of it not being too far, I understand I don't want to damage the printheads, etc..

Also, from what I've read, I can let the printer tell me when the cartridges need to be replaced... (from, page128 of http://cdn.cnetcontent.com/d8/1f/d81fcccc-ea24-4976-a25c-ddbc521a785a.pdf) "If an ink cartridge runs out of ink while printing, the front panel prompts you to replace the ink cartridge, the job is paused and will resume afterwards. This pause may affect the print quality of the job." Can I simply rely on that?

The printer asks for replacing cartridges once they are completely empty.
The reason why you can get a worse image quality it's because the printhead cools down while the cartridge is being replaced. Once the printer continues the job, the printhead will be cold depending on the time the printer has been paused and color won't be the same until it warms up again.
I suggest to replace the ink if the next job it's too long, just to avoid pausing the print, and, keep the old cartridge only for short jobs.
