Issue about HP Deskjet GT 5810

HP Recommended
HP Deskjet GT 5810
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi guys. I'm currently having issues in my printer, the print quality is always not good. I mean, it has missing details when I print. My deksjet GT 5810 was repaired in the service center last friday. Then I tried to test print this morning and it shows missing details. The service center told me that I should always test print my printer within 3 days with no use or else the printheads gets clogged. Is it true that when my unit doesnt use or not operating within 3 days onwards the printheads will get clogged?

It is normal for an unused printer to have some minor print quality issue. That is why the user needs to start a printhead cleaning cycle from the computer when print quality isn't good.

3 days is a little short time to get printheads clogged but it is possible.

If your printer has ink valve make sure it is positioned for printing ( not for transport) and start clean ink cartridges from your HP toolbox under maintenance.

Manufacturer recommends using genuine ink. You will not save a lot of money using other ink, it is possible that you can damage your printhead using aftermarket ink that doesn't meat manufacturers specifications. It's not worth the risk of damaging a printer.
