Keep getting error 8611 on my hp designjet 111

HP Recommended
Hp Deisgn Jet 111
Microsoft Windows Vista

This printer has given my multiple error codes, and this one is the last one left.  When I turn it on this 8611 code shows up, and I can not get rid of it.  I have restarted it several times, as well as cleaning everything. I have got new cartridges, and new print heads.  I have also cleaned the print heads, and I can still not get this to work.  Anyoneknow how to fix this or have any suggestions on how?  Please help!

Scan-axis shutdown during initialization. Typically, this error
occurs when the printer detects an incorrect length.
Try the following:
● Unplug the power cable from the printer and wait a few
seconds. Plug in the power cable again and check if the
Error Code has disappeared.
● Check that the Paper-Axis Drive Motor Assembly is
correctly installed and that the bushing is correctly locked
into position.
● Check that the Carriage moves freely and DOES NOT
bump into the Service Station.
● If the Printheads are not installed, maybe the carriage
cover is not closed completely.
● If the Error Code continues, replace the Carriage
Assembly Carriage Assembly (Applicability: 70, 100+,
110+, 111)

The first thing you need to check is the filter on the right side cover that the carriage may hit when it goes all the way to the right side. Sometimes part of it pops out and prevents the carriage from moving all the way to the right. If it appears a little off just remove it and see if the plotter comes to ready. The other item is the encoder strip. Make sure it is clean, but be careful when cleaning. You have to use a lint free cloth dampened in water but gently move the cloth over the encoder from side to side but do not rub or hold to tight as the fine lines on the encoder can be rubbed off and then the encoder will need to replaced.

Ok, I have cleaned everything. I have checked everything that I know that I can check, and the error has gone away.  Although now it states that the magenta is low when I just replaced it.  Is there a possibility that the ink is leaking? If there is how do I check this?
