My printer won’t recognize the type of paper I’m using and won’t allow me to print from app.

I’ve been printing on 4x6 paper for a while now and randomly the app started saying 8x11 but i never changed the paper and the print button on the Hp Smart app won’t work.

I suggest you Uninstall the HP Smart app

Then, update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac 

Restart the printer and the MAC
