Search ARCH, ANSI and ISO Paper sizes. In the US most common is ARCH. It has been awhile since I was in the Engineering world. Most popular is ARCH D 24"x36" or ARCH E 36"x48". You may not want to do Yard signs. The ink is water based and will run if the humidity is high are it is misting rain. You can purchase Banners for out doors and use oil based ink but you would need to purge your system. Out door material can get pricey

Thank You very much.  The part about outdoors was very eye opening.    I have an opportuinity to do signage in a bowling center to do lane sponsorships for bowl a thons  and they sell signage that hangs down , down by the pins.    Not sure of that king of paper?   or like card stock??   Thank you for what ever knowledge you can supply.   Ray

You can Print on paper and then mount it on cardboard. Get or build a large table to trim and mount the image. They make nice stuff to mount to and you can put Brass eyelets for hanging. If it is in an area where it would be seen from both sides it could be hung by cables and you could have different images either side. If it is going against the wall only one side has to be finished. If you want to get real fancy they have Laminators that will laminate 44 inches by however long you make the sign. Of coarse the oversize stuff is expensive, but that is the reason you will make the big bucks.
