New printer printing black as a greyish blue.

We just got a brand new HP Designjet T120 at my office, and we are having trouble getting it to print colours properly. It doesnt come out as a clear black rather than a greying blue black. And all the other colours are somewhat distorted as well.  Any Idea what this can be due to?

Note, it does print black when we print black and white on regular paper, but not when we print in colors for posters. We only have brand materials.

for color & brightness accuracy, the first you loaded & should do color calibration...

if you print black & white on regular paper, try   to use      black ink only     when you define the paper size & quality.

For color printings, try to use proper ICC   profiles... which yields big differents.

Experiment with small sizes, in order to fine tune the colors & qualities..

also Pay attention to image     color workspace       rgb, adobe rgb, cmyk  etc etc.
