If you are unable to load either rolls or sheets it is possible that the sensor that is mounted to the carriage is not working or is covered with debris or ink which makes the printer unable to detect the paper. This will be evident if the printer attempts to load and runs the carriage back and forth across the page and then unloads the paper. Have you had recent ink leaks or jams? The sensor is mounted on the left side of the carriage where the print heads are mounted.
