Print preview

Just bought this printer and a tad dissapointed. I was told it was "duplex printing" yet found out it was, but only manually, which is a real PITA. I  had the ability to preview print before wasting ink and paper on my old Canon of 6 years. How can I preview print on this HP model?

This is a very inexpensive printer - you are correct that it lacks some of the features we tend take for granted in the higher grade models.  Honestly, sales people say things - we know why in some cases - other times they are just mistaken and do not know their products.

The printer is OK for what it is.  This printer is perhaps not what you thought.  For example, the printer does not support automatic duplex, there is no Automatic Document Feeder, Borderless Printing is not supported.

If you decide to keep the printer instead of returning it for a different choice:

The software for this printer is HP Smart for Windows - an application available from the Windows Store.

The Print Preview is found in the main print menu (after choosing print type). 

Additional Settings are found in "More Settings".

The precise manner in which the application responds does depend on what the printer can actually do.

Where available, Smart Tasks can be configured for several print tasks.

• Print: Send a print job to your printer.
• Email: Send an email message or attachments.
• Save to: Save a file to a cloud storage account, such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.
