Printer not communicating with new cartridges.

HP Recommended
HP7740 & 953XL PRINT CARTRIDGES
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Help please,

I've used my "set-up" ink cartridges with my HP7740 and already purchased replacement XL cartridges.  Ok, they are from Office World, but are HP re-conditioned cartridges.  They are not from a weird back of the hole company.....  and NOTHING!!

The printer will just not communicate with the replacement cartridges.

I've followed all the advice, I've un-plugged, un-inserted, re-inserted, waited for minutes while muttering everything from curses to charms.......  and NOTHING!

Buying this printer was a Big step for me money wise.  Spending nearly the same amount for HP Cartridges is just not feasible, am very close to hurling the printer out of the upstairs window!

Can anyone help please?

Thank you !
