HP Deskjet 3522 All in One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just purchased and opened my 3rd black ink cartridge yet my printer still does not print the black color.  When I put this out there to the virtual agent,  They came back and said this printer is no longer under warranty.  Does this mean that the printer is no longer any good?   Is there anyone that I could call to assist me with this issue?

Hi @vickeyr718

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are not able to print in black. I'd be happy to assist you.

Clean the printhead automatically

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow  to select Settings, and then press OK.

  2. Press the Down Arrow to select Tools, and then press OK.

  3. Press the Down Arrow to select Clean Printhead, and then press OK.

Print a print quality report

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Down Arrow  to select Settings, and then press OK.

  2. Press the Down Arrow to select Tools, and then press OK.

  3. Press the Down Arrow to select Print Quality Report, and then press OK.

If the issue persists, make sure the ink cartridges are properly vented

Refer to this document to know how.

If you have tried 3 new black ink cartridges and the issue persists, I'm afraid this could be a possible hardware issue with the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
