Problem with printhead - Designjet T1200

Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)


I have a HP Designjet T1200ps PS3 where I work, and recently it showed the message "Printhead replacement incomplete. Restart it.". We bought a new one and tried to replace it, but it continued to show the same message. What should I do? I already tried to put the old one back, cleaned the contacts, but none of this worked


PS.: When I try to replace it, after I close the window it shows me the message as if I haven't replaced it at all.

If it is not detecting they printhead installation at all the carriage board may have failed.

Before I give up on something like that I clean the contacts with spit on a finger, it works better than plain water. HP Tech Support told me about that years ago and it works really well.

If you clean the contacts with alcohol it doesn't work very well because the anc is typically water soluble.
