Problems with my old printer

HP Recommended
Designjet 500 plus 24"
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i found my old plotter and i want to use it and i have only windows 10 system in my house. i downloaded the drivers (sorta) and when i want to print it prints with bad quality and not accurate. BUT when i test it from the plotter it selfs screen (there's a menu where you can just test colors printing or not) then it prints good. i believe its a driver issue. and i send my files throguh autocad to my plotter... Changed paint it may be old and bad but same story. help would be appriciated, Thanks! :generic:

So you tried this win 10 hp/gl-2 driver?:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-designjet-500-printer-series/25301/swI...

or this PCL driver link in Autodesk (Of course there is a 64 bit XP, Vista, 7 PCL driver on HP's site but maybe it's the same, maybe not. I don't know. This one states v8.10; HP's site states v6.08)?:

Here is the PCL driver on HP's site, v6.08:

It may not change anything since you say the internal prints look OK but you might check these things anyway:    Have you calibrated the printheads? Have you done an accuracy calibration? Do you definitely have good prinheads? No air in the ink tubes that could be getting to the printheads and rendering them useless? You seem to say you installed new ink???? Again I know you say the internal test prints look fine.

I don't know if it matters, did you add the plotter in Autocad "add? a plotter"??? or in Windows "add a printer"? Again, I don't know if it matters. I'm not an Autocad user.
