Z5200

Ive got a Z5200 on the bench and it is smearing the ink a litle at the very edge of the paper which is causing a banding effect. THe effect  comes and goes

 

I came across this part Q5669-67070 and Q5669-67075

 

This is is a "PRS extra high wdge"

 

I cant find a what it does - but will it help sot out the  problem or what will ? 

 

What does it do  ?

Hi,

 

That is used to increase the hight on the carriage.

Is recommended when using very thick medias.

 

First Make sure the media u are using is supported by the printer

Then make sure the selected media match the paper used.

 

If, the thickness of the paper is your problem.

 

Also consider

 

- Delaminated printheads

- Service Station contaminating printheads

- Media curling up due to its natural curl. (Use a new roll if this is the case)

- Left spittoon contaminating printheads

- Drop detector ful of ink
