T120 Faulty ink despite changing several times

macOS 10.12 Sierra

We've recently changed the black ink (K) on the T120 but were immediately prompted there was a fault with the cartridge. Having changed it to several new cartridges (which we're sure are the correct ones), the same message appears.

You will need to replace the printhead C1Q10A to make your printer work again.
