Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a problem with the t1300 printer.

After updating to IG_12_01_01.1 HP Click software started to recognise it as a single roll printer...

I can still choose the roll when printing files manually (in the driver settings) but because we print lots of PDF files, being able to quickly switch between the rolls in HP Click is a massive time saver.

Anyway, trying to restore the previous version of the firmware in the printer menu gives me an error.

Trying to manually install the  IG_06_00_00.2 firmware through one of the USB ports or the EWS gives me this error:

Dependencies Checking Has Failed

just as posted here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/Firmware-update-error-DesignJet-T790/td-p/5...

When I put the USB with  IG_06_00_00.2 before the startup to do the Emergency firmware upgrade, it freezes at 20% of "Initializing".

I have already tried HDD recovery, EEPROM reset, and reinstalling IG_12_01_01.1.

I would be grateful for any ideas 🙂

Downgrade is not always possible. Sometimes a sub-component such as a controller board is upgraded with the firmware and that change cannot be reversed and that change is not compatible with the old firmware. That the unit freezes up suggests that might be the case.
