T520 "PRINTER FAILURE"

Cannot get past "PRINTER FAILUE - There is a problem with the printer or ink system.Turn printer off, then on. If problem persists, contact HP"

 

Have rebooted along with removing print cartridges and print head and then reinstalling - have also folowed warm water flushing solution with no results.

Most times the printhead need to replaced with a new printhead.

Sure. I figured as much. Have ordered one, and I am hopeful that it will do the trick. Really appreciate your reply and will update on results.

Ordered new OEM print head, installed it and problem is resolved. Needless to say wasn't at all happy to have had to replace head after a relatively short period of time (less than 3 yrs) with very minimal use. Not sure if our occasional use isn't good in that the ink dries and clogs the head as it sits for long periods of time unused...does anyone else employ any different maintenance strategies?
