HP DesignJet T790 24-in Printer

Hi, Our T790 printer showed that 'MK' and 'Y' cartridges are low (7 and 10%).  We replaced with new genuine (from Amazon) cartridges but the printer does not detect them,  The Design jet utility shows a Red * on for the new cartridges and will not print. The old cartridges show when replaced - but obviously their ink is low.  Anyone got a solution? Thanks.

Check the p/n on working and non-working cartridges, maybe you got new cartridges but for a different region.

I didn't realise this.  How do I see what region the ink cartridge is for?  The box has a HP hologram on it with a QR code and the box says SINGAPORE with a date on the bottom.  Thanks for your help.  For the time being to get working we've put the old cartridge chip onto the new cartridges and we are printing, but it still shows low level as I cant reset the counter.

Thanks for your help

You can't reset the ink level, it's stored in the chip.

Compare the product code for the yellow both on working and non-working ( it could be C9400A or C9373A for Y )

Thanks, I've checked these and the new and replacement numbers are the same - Yellow is a model 72 part C9373A and the Black is a model 72 part C9403A. So they have the same numbers on them.  In my experience inkjet printers are nothing but trouble once the original cartridges run out - its so annoying!
