T790 Printhead Issues

Printer stopped printing in the middle of a job   MK ink out, checked ink wasn't even close to being empty but replaced with new cartridge.  Would never accept new MK ink.  Thought maybe printhead, so replaced MK/Y printhead.  Would never accept MK/Y printhead.  Replaced ink supply tubes and purged, same issue.  Replaced service station, same issue.  Tried replacing printheads with all new ones.  Still same issue, will not get past replace printhead issue.  Every time I replace printheads it fails during the process and says printhead replacement failure.  After attempting to replace it always says the MK ink cartridge is emply and there is always a puddle of MK/Y ink on top of the tray stop on the service station.  Have cleaned all the ribbon tapes on the carriage also and they do not appear to be damaged.   Have run all diagnostics/calibrations etc. and the only failure is the drop detector.  Any suggestions???

PLease goto diagnostics mode and perform Carriage Unit. If get any problem please replace carraige unit.

 

If found no problem please replace all printhead at a time and check. If found problem remain same please replace new Carriage Unit (P/N: CR647-67025).

Still no luck after replacing the carriage assembly.  Have now replaced ink tubes, service station, carriage assembly and all new printheads.  Very frustrating.  Still fails at replace printheadwith puddle of MK/Y ink on rest stop of service station after every attempt.  Any other suggestions??

hi,

You have a leaking tube assembly.

this in turn beleds you cartridge and causes a leak error, which marks the cartridge "faulty".

 

replace the tubes and buy a new cartridge.

Thanks, but have replaced the tube assembly.  Plus the ink is leaking out of the bottom of the printhead not from the tube assembly

ok cool,

Still sounds like a leak some where

all the symtoms, well exept for the new tubes.
