T790
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I can't get my T790 DesignJet to print anything currently.

It shows me the error message "Load paper for next job" and "Waiting to print", whenever something is in the queue - but besides that, nothing happens.

The paper roll is loaded fine, it is skew adjusted and so on. Everything looks fine in the control panel for the paper.

The paper format and type is reported correctly when I want to start a print in for instance the "HP Click" utility.

As soon as the print job is cancelled, everything goes back to normal, no error messages again.

Any ideas on how to get this printer to print again?

Best regards,

Steffen

I see there is a related error described here, reported by a couple of users. However, for a different printer, Z6200.

Unfortunately, this issue didn't come to any resolution so far, it appears.

A simple power cycle fixed the problem.

After boot-up the printer prints again as usual.

Thanks for posting the follow up solution.  Very helpful to others.

I don't work for HP....I just repair their printers.

Dear Sir

its the sheet sensor that needs calibration or replacment .

press the ready on the control pannel then press the settings (last icon on the extrem right) then go to the last item service  insert the code pass 4371 then go to calibration   then  go to last calibrate sheet sensor    press ok then  the plotter will test the sensor and ask to insert a sheet in the sheet sensor only to close the sensor (if it fails you need to replace the sheet sensor)if the plotter gives you Ok then you can go out of the menu and insert the roll

good luck
