Unable to install drivers for designjet z6100 (42", ps) on windows OS

Hi. I am struggling with installing drivers for a newly acquired z6100PS printer on windows. The issue is only on windows (tried XP 32 bit, 7 32 bit & Windows 10 64 bit), as the installer on a MAC finds it straight away. I tried hard coding and DHCPing the address, and I can do the following: I can ping the printer, and I can load its internal web page at its address 192.168.xx.xxx, where I can see the printer status and there and even launch prior jobs.  I have had a z6100 60" on the network before, the installer didn't have a problem with that one (this was approx 1 year ago). I would test it but I stole parts for this one. No matter what I do ... when I run the ”HPDesignjetZ6100PhotoPrinterSeriesPS3" installer, it simply cannot find the printer. I try via IP, mac address, and letting the installer search. I have restarted the printer, the router and the computers multiple times. I have all firewalls and virus programs turned off. As I stated above, no problems on the mac ... whihc leads me to think some prot is blocked that windows wants to use ... but what port? And trying different Windows OS's, ... very strange. 

 

 

I am stumpped as to why the driver installer cannot see the printer. 

 

 

Help?

Really??? No one? 

 

Boujour works prefectly, windows printer protocol ... not at all. Seems like a setting on the printer has to be the solution. No one has ever had anything like this?

 

I am just printing from the Macs at this pooint, but more conveinient for my setup to go from the PC. Any help or suggestions woudl be appreciated.

 Are there other printers on the same computer set up already?  If so, you might try removing them, then reboot and reload the 6100 first.  Sometimes HP printers don't like to play together very well with others.

Hi, Thanks for contact with HP Support Forum.

 

Please correcly setup IP address and Subnet Mask into printer and must setup same IP series with subnet mask in the PC/Laptop. Then lets try to new installation with Basic file.
