HP DesignJet T630

Hi,

I'm having issues when printing on clear film from a roll as the white ribbon that is on the edges of the film separates and makes wrinkles on the film, making the printing head to touch the film and smearing the ink. I have tried with a 24 in roll and a 36 in roll, both have the same problem. The plotter is feeding and aligning the film properly without giving me any errors.

The ribbon seems to be properly adhered  to the film when it's on the roll, but it separates as is entering into the plotter and the film gets flatter.

Thank you

Is this an actual HP media type or 3rd party? If the edge is separating that would suggest a deficiency in the media itself.

Hi,

yes, these are actual HP media (C3875A), made in Germany. The box has a date on the inside flap showing 01/06/23. I wonder if that's the manufacturing or the expiry date.

Both rolls arrived from the same vendor.

I am not sure which date HP places on boxes anymore. That media is definitely listed as compatible with your printer so either something in the printer is catching or the media is old and any adhesive that is supposed to retain the ribbon has weakened.
