Product: HP DesignJet Z6810 42-in Production Printer

My DesignJet Z6810 isn't recognizing a new red ink cartridge. It tells me wrong cartridge. I've tryed two new cartridges neither of them work. One was sent to me by the company we bought the printer from the other from Staples.The number on the old cartridge is 774 and the number on the new cartridges is 771A.  Everything I've read says it's compatible. All of the other colors are using 771A and are working fine. Has anyone else had this issue.
