faded printing

designjet 4000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

I am looking for a bit of help with the designjet 4000.    When I try to calibrate the color I get the message that , that could not be completed because of scanning problems.  When I print a drawing the lines on the paper are very faint.  I have tried cleaning the print heads with IPA which helped a bit.  Now on to the weird things when I log onto the printer using its ip address and click on a printed drawing it is also faded.  The ip address says all my ink levels are good.  The other thing I noticed when its trying to print bigger drawings the printer sounds like it too loud like its sticking?  Thank you for any help.  Tony

This indicated you have printhead problem...

if your printer has a option to clean printheads, do it, then print out

a diagnostic print & check what color missing..

Ok so I got the printer to print black.  I am using hp designjet printer driver v8.1 data file version 1.0.  Under general settings ie features it says color is NO.  No colors will print other than block.  I updated the drivers but what concerns me is it says color:no.  How do I enable it so color says yes.  I updated the drivers .

Only black color & it has nothing to do with driver.

if you image is color & make sure on print property you set up as color images... in color   (  no black only ) , also

on icc profile, make sure pick    your printer icc color profile, according to the media you loaded...    (   no gray scale )

Printer should print color by now...   if color not 100% accurate & try with differeny icc profile....

That is all I could think off.... search more on this board for your printer model & see other posts for reference.

Good luck
