Officejet Pro 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Officejet Pro 8600.  I recently installed a new wifi system for my office (Eeros).  It will not hold the wireless connection to my printer/scanner/fax.  I have talked to HP and to Eeros.  No luck.  I have to enter the pasword and reconnect to the wifi multiple times a day.

HP wants me to buy a new printer/scanner/fax as this one is too old and the software is not being updated.

I want to direct connect it to my laptop but am not sure how.  I fould a cable that looks like it connects to the printer:  it has a square plug that looks like it connects to the back of the printer and has a USB connection on the other end.  Is this the correct cable?

Do you see any problems with setting up after it is connected?

Gary

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you wanted to know how to connect your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer to the computer via USB cable.

Yes, that the correct cable and is called the USB cable.

I suggest that you follow steps in the link to setup the printer via USB cable: USB Printer Setup (Windows)

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
