Hello @StephanF

I would like to know the ink cartridge empty or is the printer showing you an specific error message about it? The reason I am asking for that is because some times the internal bag of the ink cartridge gets broken and the cartridge is inflated and that is why it could be stuck.

Can you share a picture of the stuck cartridge, please?

Thank you.

I would check the door sensor to make sure it is working.

Hi @Repairatrooper

The Designjet T7100 doesn't have an ink cartridge door like other printers where you can check the sensor.

Door/window, did not state cartridge, sorry if the terminology confused anyone. Printhead replacement should be initiated from the control panel which will then prompt you to open the front window. If the carriage is not opening when you open the window as prompted then likely the window sensor is bad or knocked out of position.

if the carriage does not move their should be a message on the front panel  probably to insert ink as the plotter can t replace print head without ink . so close the door and check the front panel
