i cant print my documents due to non working of printer

HP Recommended
deskjet d1460
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

when m printng my data it is getting qued but not getting print 

and when m seklecting it for default printer it ins showing not conected to a network 

and my hp deskjet d1460 is not showing directly in d print opption

for contact no. 7004740314


kindly see to d problem very urgent

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case relating to the printer, not printing. I will be delighted to assist you here. 🙂

Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did you check the product specifications of the printer for connectivity?
  • Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the printer software?
  • Please send an image of the exact error message to assist you better.

For now, let me keep you posted about a few things.

Please remove your phone number from the public post. It is confidential information and should not be shared.

  • This printer does not have wireless or Ethernet connectivity. It has only a USB connection and you need to use the USB cable to connect the printer to your computer.
  • It will not work on a wireless or Ethernet connection as there is no network card included with the printer.
  • It is designed to work via a USB connection and you need to purchase a USB cable as it is not included with the printer.
  • Please try with Multiple USB cables. One of the USB cables could have a problem.
  • Please check the printer specs from this link: and look under System requirements option.

For now please try these steps:

  • Please connect the printer to the computer via USB
  • Then run the print and scan doctor utility from this link:;  to try and fix printing issues with the printer.
  • If it does not work then please follow these steps to uninstall the printer and reinstall it.
  • Uninstall the printer from "programs and features" which can be accessed by doing a right-click on the Windows button (Please have the printer Off and disconnected during uninstallation.)
  • Check in device manager, if the printer is listed there, please delete it. (Right click on the Windows button to access device manager)
  • Go to devices and printers, select any printer listed there and you will get some options on the top.
  • Click on print server properties.
  • You will get a popup, click on the drivers tab and delete all the HP printer drivers listed there if any.
  • Delete all the instances of your printer listed in devices and printers.
  • Restart the PC.
  • Once the PC is on the desktop, press Win + R, it would bring a Run dialog box,
  • Type %temp% in the run box and click Ok or hit the Enter button.
  • It would bring up the temporary files folder. Delete the files in the folder (You might not be able to delete all the files).
  • If possible, delete the printer from the registries using Regedit or using any other 3rd party application.
  • Ignore the Regedit option if it cannot be done.
  • Restart the PC again.

Then download the latest full feature driver from and install it on the computer after selecting the correct operating system.

Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.
