Designjet T830 starts cut gets to about 2 inches from the end and suddenly stops cutting.

Have to rip the rest of the page off

Hello,

 

Can you check the cutter: reseat 

Check if any piece of paper inside the cutter platen/ rail

Clean the paper path of the cutter platen

check the cutter blade if failed after all this you can start with replacing the cutter:

In parts.hp.com, customers need to look for the cutter by its Part Number, CQ890-67108.

thanks for your advice however with experience its hardware and to confirm it , he should test the paper feed and cut.

You have  to do a good maintenance. Check the carriage belt and pulley too.
