HP DESIGNJET T1300 fails initializing 79:04

HP Recommended

I have recently come across this error.  It doesnt pass 20% initializing before the system error.  LED 1 & 2 are lit on the formatter board.  The error is 79:04.   Any advice would be appreciated, before I go through HP for the costly repair.  Thanks in advance

Luke

I would attempt to update the firmware before doing anything else on the machine. If firmware does not resolve, remove all supplies (cartridges and print heads), power cycle unit and insert supplies one at a time when prompted.

Hello.  Thanks for your response.  I still have a question.  How would I go about updating if it doesnt initialize, and I can't enter diagnostic mode either.  Thanks again for your help.

Have you tried to do a file clean up on the drive?
