Designjet T520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new Win10 64 bit PC connected to my existing Designjet T520 36" over a wired network. When printing from my old PC (WinXP 32 bit PC) the plotter would print on BOTH passes of the printhead, however, from the new PC it only prints on a SINGLE pass. This increases the print time from 45s to 115s for the same A1 landscape document and is something I'd like to resolve if at all possible.

I have compared the  settings on both PCs and can find nothing different between the two setups. Windows and the software are both up to date and I have the latest drivers from the HP website.

Any ideas? Many thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Having had no replies and no luck extensively searching the web for solutions, I took a chance and telephoned HP support. Despite being out of warranty I was asked to try the older HPGL2 driver from HP's website (initially I had used the latest PCL3 driver).

Long story short - single pass printing isn't available using the PCL3 print driver and to benefit from faster both passes printing you have to use the HPGL2 driver!
