I just have a question.
Our organisation has several IP6000's.
Recently we made changes to our DHCP-server so the IP6000's can now boot with the Factory Default settings.
We noticed that some IP6000's didn't start correctly with the default settings.
After a closer look i found out that there were different Bootblocks.
The IP6000's with a Bootblock v3.0.2 worked without any problem, the one's with a Bootblock v2.8.0 didn't.
To get the last one up-and-running i had to change one option in the Server menu: change FTP into TFTP.
My question, is it possible to update the Bootblock?
Is it somekind of eprom that i can order?

Hello dstein,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
It is always useful to include the currently used software version as issue experienced may already be addressed in a newer release. This also allows yourself and others to check against current software release notes.
The community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I find out my SIP UC Software Version or the BootROM Version of my Phone?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
A BootBlock is usually only provided in extreme cases and you will require to raise a Support ticket with Polycom support via your Polycom reseller.
I would suggest you check the issue via wireshark as described here:
