Hi All,
It was requested by our PBX to open a ticket with Polycom. Seeing as these phones are out of warranty, I am checking with community instead. Since Friday (6/16), we have had a group of phones with a Blind Transfer button configured suddenly stop working. That is, the button itself does nothing when pressed. The errors I'm seeing the app.log as follows:
0619112119|efk |1|00|EFK is in connected state.
0619112120|efk |1|00|Macro [$P1N4$$Trefer$] is valid.
0619112120|efk |4|00|Prompt P1N4 is invalid.
0619112120|efk |4|00|Action [$P1N4$$Trefer$] is invalid.
0619112120|efk |4|00|Action '$P1N4$$Trefer$' not valid.
0619112120|efk |4|00|Could not process macro $P1N4$$Trefer$.
Since Friday, this customer's groups have all lost access to this button so seems to be spreading (they have 15 or so different groups) when no change has been done to the parameters that have been in place for years. It honestly seems like an issue on the PBX side but wanted to check in here since they recommended it.
Steps I've done to troubleshoot:
- Factory reset device
- Rebuilt parameters from scratch following Polycom's template
- Removed all extra parameters leaving only the Blind Transfer setup in place
- Updated firmware to latest from Polycom directly (PBX is slightly behind in versions normally)
Parameters used are attached showing both old and new rebuilt ones (neither are working).
I have a workaround in place for now which restores the original Transfer button and defaulting it to Blind Transfer and have the PBX still investigating on their side as well.
Any thoughts on this or any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to get this resolved finally. Final parameters attached in case anyone else has issues (Blind Transfer file).

Hello @alantz ,
Welcome to the Poly Community.
Both the communities Must Read First or Read 1st and if available the FAQ references the basic minimum information a new or follow-up post should contain.
This ensures the questions having to be asked are limited and any new or follow up post contains the right amount of details to ensure any voluntary participant within the community does not spend additional time chasing basic information.
Unfortunately, your post fell a bit short of the above-explained requirements and we kindly ask you, therefore, to ensure to read these sections and ensure a reply (not Edit!) provides as much detail as possible
Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the FAQs listed in my signature for your convenience.
Example:
Nov 25, 2011 Question: How can I change the functionality of a softkey button/use EFK?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
The above includes logging settings that can help you or the customer to troubleshoot the issue.
Also, include the minimum detail as the currently used software version and the phone model.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
Steffen Baier
