From our VoIP FAQ:

 

Dec 04, 2015 Question:How can I provision/upgrade the software or provide configuration via USB for the Poly Trio, CCX, Edge E and/or Visual+?

Resolution: Please check this post => here <=

 

The VVX 500 is end of sale and end of support and cannot be upgraded via USB

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I set up my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <= and you need Poly Lens now to get access to Poly Software.

Please check my second reply. The FAQ describes all update options. The ObiHai TFTPD64 example can be used.
