Hello! We have a deployment of vvx310's and vvx410s. Everything works great except the freepbx call pickup code for picking up a ringing extension is **extension: example **3310 would pickup extension 3310 from another extension if it was ringing. On the vvx310 and vvx410 (and maybe other vvx models too we dont have any other models to test) typing ** causes the phone to switch from a star to a plus sign. So if a user picks up the receiver, a new call is started, they dial star star and that results in a plus sign then they dial the extension and of course the call fails because a plus sign is meaningless to Freepbx/asterisk. The phones are on firmware 4.1.8
OK I did find this thread:http://community.polycom.com/t5/VoIP/Star-Key-and-Plus-Sign/m-p/68474#M11423 saying to set call.internationalDialing.enabled
to zero but the reply also references firmware 5.2. Do I need to update to 5.2 to use this setting? Thanks!

Hello joshrr,
welcome back to the Polycom Community.
Did you ever open a ticket as suggested => here <= or solved your issue?
If yes it would be great to share with the community.
In regards to your new question the community's VoIP FAQ contains this post here:
Jan 14, 2015 Question:Finding the default values for configuration parameters for Polycom Phones?
Resolution: Please check => here <=
Please ensure you always check the community FAQ and/or utilize the community search before posting any new topics or follow up post’s.
Simply checking the file mention in above FAQ post with your UC Software 4.1.8 would show if this parameter exists in this version or not.
I did a quick check and it was added in UC Software 5.2.0 and even backported into UC Software 4.0.9
Upgrading your phone to anything after 5.2.0 will have this feature in it.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
