I have setup an ftp server and loaded all the bootrom.id files i downloaded from website.
I configured the server settings on the phone to access the ftp server with credentials. I have tried ftp, ftp(s), trivial ftp etc.
The phone and my ftp server are both on the same network.
I reboot the phone.
messages I see:
waiting for network
updating initial configuration
could not contact boot server, using existing config
error loading 0004f2ec05e9.cfg!
then it reboots again.
What am I doing wrong?

Hello jellydog,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
You have already kind of answered your own question.
The phone either does not get a IP address from your DHCP server or maybe your DHCP server does provide it with an address for an Server via an Option that is not in the network or the phone cannot connect to it.
The message appears when the phone cannot reach the provisioning server.
You could try an span a port to get a wireshark trace of what details are provided to the phone and where the phones does try to connect.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
Best Regards
