Hi:

That audio card was not offered in the hp pavilion a6200n PC.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to go to the link below, select the Legacy series on the left side of the page (series), select the Delta 66 audio card in the middle of the page (product), and then select the Windows version for the driver you need on the right side of the page.

What would be a good card for this pc that a driver would be easy to get?

What operating system is the PC running and how come the onboard Realtek audio doesn't work?

The PC originally came from HP with the Realtek HD audio chip on the motherboard.

it doesn't belong to me its a friend of mine i was helping him with. the oblong port on the card what is  that for?  as for the ports on the pc as far as i know they all work but he needs the male oblong port to hook up some kind of sound stuff he uses.

Unfortunately, I don't know what you're describing.

The only audio cards I've seen have 4 or 5 round audio ports of different colors.

look at a pic of the card and it has 2 round holes and 1 oblong like the blue video port for a monitor.

audio delta 1999 is the number for the card

Sorry, but I have no idea what that oblong port is for.

M Audio Delta 66 (soundonsound.com)

The white and red output jacks look to be for a speaker.

I have only installed one audio card in a PC, and I only used the light green audio out port on the card.

This is the card I was going to recommend, but I doubt it would be what your friend can use.

I recommend you start a new post regarding finding a suitable audio card for your friend's PC.
