Hi @SoSoPretty

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Audio and video being out of sync can be frustrating, but it’s often a fixable problem.

Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Adjust Playback Settings

  • If you're streaming or watching content on a device:
    1. Pause the video for a few seconds and then play it again. This can help resync the audio and video.
    2. Check the settings in your media player or streaming app for options like "audio delay" or "sync." Some apps let you manually adjust the delay to match the video.

2. Test Another Source

  • Switch to a different video or streaming platform. If the sync issue is only happening with one app or file, it might be an issue with the content rather than your device.

3. Restart the Device

  • A quick restart of your device (smartphone, computer, TV, streaming box, etc.) can clear out temporary glitches causing sync issues.

4. Check Audio Output Settings

On TVs or External Devices:

  • If you're using external speakers, soundbars, or AV receivers:
    1. Go to your TV or external device's audio settings.
    2. Look for settings like "lip sync," "A/V sync," or "audio delay" and adjust them.

On a Computer:

  • Update the audio driver:
    • Open Device Manager (Windows) or System Preferences (Mac).
    • Locate your audio driver, right-click, and select Update Driver.
  • Test other audio devices to see if the issue is related to your current playback hardware.

5. Update Firmware and Apps

  • Ensure the streaming app, media player, or device you’re using has the latest updates installed. Outdated software can sometimes cause sync issues.

6. Reduce Network Load (if Streaming)

  • If you’re streaming and experiencing sync issues, it could be related to network lag:
    • Pause the video to let it buffer.
    • Disconnect other devices from the Wi-Fi network to improve streaming quality.
