@SAMPATH23, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your speakers are not working on the Victus by HP 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Update Audio Drivers:

  • Go to Windows Update and check for the latest updates.
  • Install any available audio driver updates.
  • Restart your computer after updating.

Using OMEN Gaming Hub:

  • Confirm if any audio settings have been altered within OMEN Gaming Hub.
  • Make sure that the "Mute" option is not enabled in HP Audio Boost via OMEN Gaming Hub.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select "Playing Audio" and run the troubleshooter.

Check Audio Devices:

  • Go to Device Manager (right-click Start > Device Manager).
  • Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".
  • If there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark next to the audio device, right-click on it and select "Update driver".

HP Support Assistant:

  • Open HP Support Assistant.
  • Use it to check, update, and diagnose audio issues.

Inspect Hardware:

  • Ensure external speakers or headphones are disconnected to avoid conflicting devices.
  • Check if the speakers are physically damaged.

Reset Audio Settings:

  • Open Control Panel > Sound.
  • Click on the "Playback" tab, select your audio device.
  • Click "Properties", then "Advanced". Under the "Default Format" section, select a different sample rate.
